Who will win the Welsh title?






This weekend 6th - 8th August is hosting the annual Welsh Street Food awards where we will see Welsh vendors compete for the titles that matter most. Welsh Street Food Vendor of the year. Hosted by street food royalty Sam & Shauna from Hangfire Southern Kitchen in Barry, Let's introduce ourselves to this years' contenders....



Pwdin






Pwdin serve up some of the sweetest treats out there. As well as being Welsh finalists they are also in the running for the British Street Food Awards. From pan fried peaches to an Eton mess sundae, Pwdin have you covered for that post meal craving.








Tukka Tuk Indian Streetfood by Anand George


From the creators of Purple Poppadom in Cardiff Anand George brings you the street food take on South Indian dishes. With his tasty Kerala Fried Chicken and Bombay fries it's the perfect combination for street food.




The Fork Society


Serving up restaurant style bite dishes... The Fork Society brings you pork done properly. Beautiful béarnaise drenched pork sits satisfyingly on their street food menu. Their twist on street food will have you feeling all fancy whilst being sat on picnic benches.




Janet's Authentic Chinese & Korean Kitchen



Janet's a legend in Pontypridd Market for serving up some of the best Korean / Chinese food in the area. People travel from all over Wales to visit Janet's , whether it's for her Special Fried Rice or Bimibap. We are excited to see Janet competing for the title of Vendor of the year and excited to see what her ever changing menu will bring to the table this Sunday.






Hot Damn Beer + Wings


With their award wining wings, the aberkenfig originating team have had mouths watering over their Buffanero wings. With a range of flavours going up to down right spicy ! You can find your match of wing perfectly.




Fire & Flank





Street food newbies Fire & Flank serve the most tender cuts of steak with sumptuous sides. All cooked by flame we caught these guys on their opening stint at Forest Festival... their chimichurri flank had us drooling. Now regulars at Corporation Yard you can catch them this weekend at the awards.






Keralan Karavan


Popping up all over the UK, Keralan Karavan love what they do and they do it well. Mixing a fusion of Indian as they make Bombay Tikka Taco's , Disco Fries covered in chutney and even chilli brownies ! Make sure to keep an eye out for these guys on the weekend...


Frango Charcoal Chicken


Originating in Swansea, it's hailed 'The Best Chicken In Swans' serving authentic Portuguese chicken to customers. They have their own top secret marinades and charcoal grill the chicken to get their signature taste. Marinated for 24 hours in secret sauce, what's not to love?
